Interim Report


When a property is let, it is beneficial to both the landlord and the tenant to keep things running as smoothly as possible. A Interim Report is a great security measure when letting a property.

Our clerks will conduct a review of the property part way through the tenancy. The appointment appraises the condition of the property relative to the length of the tenancy and expected condition at that point in time. This allows you to keep in touch and remain informed during the tenancy, which we find always makes end of tenancies much smoother. In some cases, such as when damage is noted, it allows you to make an informed decision about any action to take.

We also discuss with tenants and make note of any maintenance issue that they may have.

The inspection will include:

  • Inspection date
  • Inspection address
  • Property type
  • Client name
List of inspected areas and over photograph
Inspection to identify the following. If found EVIDENTIAL photographs and description taken:
Evidence Of:
  • Non tenants
  • Pets
  • Recent repairs
  • Smoking
  • Damage
  • Poor cleanliness
  • Damp
  • Condensation
Plus inspections of, where relevant:
  • Boundary walls / fences
  • Brick work / rendering
  • Chimney stacks
  • Doors & frames (External)
  • Drives and paths
  • Exterior decor
  • Gutters and piped
  • Roof
  • Windows, and frames (External).
  • Gardens
  • Garages
  • Outbuildings
  • All interior rooms, fixtures and fitting.
